Prepper Tip: Keep Cash On Hand

You never know when a bank run or natural disaster will shut banks and ATMs down for extended periods of time. 

The electronics that allow you to swipe your credit cards may also be non functional. 

Here's what to do:

- Keep a supply of cash on hand to mitigate this, and make sure you have plenty of small bills on hand. 

- Hundreds will be tough or impossible to make change for, so make sure your primary denominations are fives, tens, and twenties. 

- Don’t have a single cache; spread this out among several strategic points in your home.
