Survival Tip: Disaster strikes? Run water!

If you’ve just been struck by an earthquake, or are about to be struck by some other natural disaster, you need to immediately obtain some water, since all supplies might be cut off.

Here's what to do:

Fill up your bathtub immediately!

Most bathtubs hold a good deal of water, and the rationale for filling it up now (before the disaster) is that ruptured water lines don’t carry water, and cracked lines can be contaminated making the water unsafe to drink.

Mass panic after the disaster can cause low water pressure as everyone starts to have the same idea.

Fill up now!
